Josh Homme, @jhobabyduck is a highly influential figure in the world of rock music. He is best known as the founder and frontman of the band Queens of the Stone Age, which has been at the forefront of the stoner rock movement since the late 1990s. Homme’s music has had a profound impact on the rock scene, blending hard rock, punk, and metal with a unique desert rock sound. His guitar riffs are often described as heavy and powerful, and his songwriting is characterized by a distinctive sense of humor and irony. Homme has also collaborated with many other musicians over the years, including Dave Grohl and Iggy Pop, and his influence can be heard in the work of countless bands across the rock spectrum.
In addition to his musical contributions, Homme has also been an influential figure in the production and engineering of rock music. He is known for his meticulous attention to detail in the studio, and has produced albums for a variety of artists, including Arctic Monkeys, Eagles of Death Metal, and Mark Lanegan. Homme’s production style is often described as raw and unpolished, with an emphasis on capturing the energy and spontaneity of live performances. His influence as a producer has helped shape the sound of modern rock music, and he remains one of the most respected and admired figures in the industry today.
Either way, here’s my hand drawing rendition to such a great musician.

Justin DeYarmond Edison Vernon @blobtower was not only born with three amazing last names for a good combo, but also with a very unique set of pipes.
His first album with Bon Iver felt like it could define an artist to the point where it was really hard to follow. Isolated in a cabin in the woods he poured his anguish and feeling into these set of songs that really struck a chord with a lot of people. At least with me it did.
But then, their self-titled album is where I believe where magic really happened. The album follows the heart of the previous album, but instrumentally is very different, the album is loaded with angelic choirs, uplifting guitars and ethereal saxophones by Colin Stetson that come together to make a true masterpiece.
As for me, it’s an album that marked a great deal of time in my life, here’s this hand drawing to a fellow human I don’t know, the guy with the cool last names combos.
Cheers.

I remember back in 2006 you could hear Rehab and other singles from Back to Black just about everywhere you went to. But it wasn’t until I heard the full album where the songwriting, singing and overall compositions of Amy with the production of Mark Ronson really shines.
Her singing style is definitely influenced by Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington, it’s very expressive and carries a lot of personality, which fits perfectly with the Soul and R&B music that is layered over. The quality of the music is obvious and I truly hope people who only heard her singles listen to the whole thing.
Cheers !

I’m honestly not a big MJ fan but it’s truly hard to ignore his legacy and the mark he left in the music industry. I remember missing his last concert in Mexico in 1993 for being sick, but honestly I was 3 so I wouldn’t have even remembered either way.
Looking back, I’ve never really sat down and heard all his music, it’s over 15 albums spanning 40+ years of career and it’s just probably music I don’t relate to as well as others. I remember the amazing production of Dangerous and the underrated Invincible, but what I will always remember is the amazing voice, moves and crazy good hits coming from him.
Any big MJ fans out there? What should I listen to? What’s his best album?

The first song I ever heard from Björk was Army of Me, probably a good 15 or so years ago. I remember playing it on repeat for a while and being mesmerized by the distorted bassline and I couldn’t get enough of it. That’s when I really got into Post and all her other albums.
One big standout for me was Vespertine from 2001 was when I really thought she stood out on her own as an amazing producer, songwriter and overall influence on many other artists. I’ve been following every new album ever since. Her ever-evolving sounds and music are always a delight to sit through.
Thanks @bjork for the passion and creativity.
Cheers!
